The Day Before

With the bike put together I went for a small recon ride of the start, just a few miles out and back to stretch the legs and check everything was okay with the bike.

The trailhead marking the start of the race, the Spray River Trail, behind the Banff Springs Hotel.

With some great views.

I didn't go far, probably only about 8 miles roundtrip from the YWCA where I was staying. Just enough to get a taster of what was to come.
